Though this hike generally follows the ridge of Bellvale Mountain, you’ll never get the feeling of being on a ridge. Both the Eastern Pinnacles and Cat Rocks lie on the east side of the ridgecrest and somewhat below. After passing the two outcrops, the hike continues through a lovely forest filled with mountain laurel to the Wildcat Shelter.
