This hike provides a long, secluded day trip along an old logging road near the base of Peters Mountain. Halfway through the trip, the hike ascends to the crest of the mountain, where it joins the Appalachian Trail (A.T.). It follows the A.T. 6 miles back to the trailhead, passing some excellent views of the Susquehanna River Valley to the north and south.
