A fine loop hike with a section of out-and-back to begin and end, this excursion traces the entire length of the wild and secluded Hosack Run, a short, steep-sided, and rhododendron-filled valley. Of particular interest will be the rhododendron forest along the Appalachian Trail (A.T.), which at times is so thick that it is like walking through a tunnel. Th is hike is exceptionally beautiful in late spring when the flora is in bloom.
