Despite the Appalachian Trail (A.T.) being primarily a ridge-running high-country path, it does go along streams and by waterfalls. Th is Appalachian Trail hike cruises through the scenic Long Creek valley and then takes a short spur trail to Long Creek Falls, the most southerly cascade along the A.T. The short, easy hike gives A.T. hikers of all abilities a chance to experience some of the aquatic beauty found along this special path. Hikers wanting to engage in the best hikes along the Appalachian Trail, and those determined to see the best of the Southern Appalachians, will stop to see Long Creek Falls. It is a great hike for kids or those of lesser abilities.
