Babcock Creek is located in the heart of wildlife country. It is a side drainage that flows into Rock Creek in the lowers reaches of its course. The trail begins at the mouth of Spring Creek. The cliffs that tower on the hillside above are prime habitat for a local herd of bighorn sheep. Chances are high that you will encounter part of this herd on your journey. The Babcock Creek Trail (91) extends around the base of the cliffs and 1.0 mile to the north, where it turns east and climbs the steep confines of Babcock Creek.
