Wildflower enthusiasts must take advantage of this hike in spring. The variety of species and colors are the crown jewels of scenery surrounding the city. This hike is located midway up the Rattlesnake Valley and a short distance from town. Begin by climbing up to the North Hills Ridge via the Mountain View Trail. Loop around, with an option to hoof out to the historic and working Moon-Randolph Homestead. Descend via the Sunlight Trail and finish the hike walking a nice doubletrack on the banks of Rattlesnake Creek next to the organic farm.
