Hill Slug is a term for a biker who is a slow hill climber. This may seem like a derogatory term, but some bikers wear the appellation with pride. The truth is that in order to become a better biker, you have to climb hills. This ride takes you through the hills of the Sourlands. These aren’t the hardest hills in the area, but they will give you a good workout. You will be riding mostly in rural areas, so you shouldn’t have much traffic to deal with. The beginning and end of the ride are through parts of Pennington, which will have moderate traffic. The ride touches areas that are less rural, so you may experience some moderate traffic on Amwell, Pleasant Run, and Wertsville Roads.
