This trek starts at the Cole Mill area of Eno River State Park. Wander upland hills before dropping to the river at the Bobbitt Hole, a large pool. Next, head downriver, enjoying miles of riverside grandeur. Turn back into hills after viewing Durham’s old water pump station.
Pass an old homesite and cemetery. Return to the Cole Mill area with its excellent picnicking facilities. Additionally, a backcountry campground is located along the circuit, creating overnight possibilities.
