This loop sightsees throughout the entirety of Cary’s Fred G. Bond Metro Park. The 310-acre park has multiple offerings for Triangle residents, including hiking trails integrated into the natural and man-made aspects of the preserve. The hike uses a mix of natural surface trails and paved greenways that link to Bond Park. Your adventure takes you through woods, along Bond Lake, atop wetlands, and more along the way. Fred G. Bond Metro Park is a prototype millennial city park. Not only does it function as a greenspace for the town of Cary, the acreage also encompasses other community facilities such as the community center, senior center, and amphitheater. The park also presents a variety of outdoor pursuits, everything from baseball to fishing, self-propelled boating, even a ropes course, along with traditional Bond Park Hike 6911 picnic shelters and playgrounds.
