The hike to Tumbledown Dick Falls passes two remote ponds, follows Tumbledown Dick Stream as it, well, tumbles down into the Penobscot River valley, and ends at one of the most scenic waterfalls in Maine. The trail passes right next to the rock-choked head of the falls where the stream plunges more than 60 feet into a pool. A side trail leads down a steep slope to the base of the falls.
