This hike leads to one of the most dramatic waterfalls in northwestern Pennsylvania. You first walk on an abandoned rail bed that runs alongside Tionesta Creek, one of the nicest streams in the state. You then walk up a ravine alongside Logan Run until you come to the waterfalls. On this hike you walk 1.7 miles along Tionesta Creek until you intersect Logan Run as it empties into the Tionesta. There is a campsite at this junction. In fact, some kayak and canoe people put in at Sheffi eld and fl oat downstream to this site. They tie up their crafts, do the hike from there to the falls, then return to the campsite and shove off or spend the night. At Logan Run turn right and begin a moderate climb along the ravine. Cross Logan Run once, following the red blazes. Be sure to bring your camera.
