If you do this hike in summer, be sure to take your camera and plenty of water. There are plenty of steep, Ironman-type ascents, the last of which lands you at the top of Mount Pisgah for an impressive view of the surrounding valley. As for photo ops, the trail passes through a number of wildflower meadows bursting with vibrant colors. These meadows are not only breathtakingly beautiful but also provide an excuse for a much-needed rest after the climb.
