This bold hike uses a stretch of the Appalachian Trail as it weaves along the ridge of the Delaware Water Gap, at one point taking hikers to an overlook 1,000 feet above the Delaware River. This is one of the most—if not the most—rugged sections of the AT in Pennsylvania. There are heart-stopping views of the Delaware Water Gap, the Delaware River, and the I-80 bridge across the Delaware. From the summit, look across the Gap to Mount Tammany and Kittatinny Ridge in neighboring New Jersey.
