This trail is a nice ride that incorporates many different surfaces and several bridges as it makes its way through urban neighborhoods and parks. The metal bridges, which allow the rider to pass over busy streets, are decorated with artwork representing many of the desert animals and plants found in Nevada.
This trail makes its way through urban areas and past several parks. The trailhead is a sports complex, and the turnaround is at a park. Between those two points, the trail snakes through housing communities and goes across two large metal bridges built specifically for the trail that allow you to cross over busy streets. These two bridges are decorated with metal artwork representing plants and animals—such as cactuses, coyotes, tortoises, and snakes—that are common to the desert environment. At certain times of the day, the metal artwork casts interesting shadows on the bridges, reflecting the plant or animal the artwork represents.
