This is a popular trail for beginners because it is not as technical as some of the other trails. The first part of the trail is a steady, continuous climb, but once the halfway point is reached, you’re rewarded by a fun, fast downhill section. These trails are only open to human power and are mostly used by mountain bikers. However, hikers and runners also use the trail, and it is best to be courteous and give way to them when encountered. The POW/Par None/IMBA Loop is actually a combination of three trails which together form a loop through the outskirts of Bootleg Canyon. Because this trail is not in the canyon area, the terrain is mainly fl at with only small hilly areas. This singletrack trail is not filled with many of the rock obstacles found on most of the other trails in Bootleg Canyon. It is a good intermediate to beginner trail, marked intermediate only because the climb is steady and the downhill portion has some tricky parts. It is a good training trail for anyone looking to build their mountain-biking skills.
