You’ll need a fat tire bike for this ride (or a mountain bike, but you’ll need to stay closer to the water, on the harder sand or rocky parts of the beach), the perfect bicycle for riding the sand dunes. Sandy Neck Beach Park is one of the few places with a fat tire bike policy. An unforgettable experience. If you’re in great shape, ride to the end of this 6-mile- long peninsula to see the historic lighthouse, dune shacks, and cottages where a small community of people lives.
