A hike from a rocky, windswept shoreline to a mountaintop on the end of Schoodic Peninsula. The views of Frenchman Bay and the rugged shoreline of Schoodic Point are well worth the short but steep hike to the summit. Schoodic Point is renowned for its stark shores and amazing surf. A day when the wind blows onshore is best to view this and an incoming tide. General location: In the section of Acadia National Park on the tip of Schoodic Peninsula on the mainland south of Winter Harbor in Hancock County.
