Several trails and ponds in a woodland sanctuary. This hike is a must for families with children. In addition to hiking, you can visit the Stanwood Homestead Museum, once the home of Cordelia J. Stanwood, an ornithologist, photographer, and author. You can look at caged birds, including various hawks and owls, part of the sanctuary's wildlife recovery center. Birdsacre does not charge for parking or using the trails. General location: Southeast Ellsworth in Hancock County.
