A hike through upland woods and along several ocean coves. One particular attraction at this park is the clamming. In most parts of Maine, you must have a permit to dig clams-if the clamflats are even open. But here you can dig up to 1 peck of soft-shelled clams per person.
If you camp at the park, you will probably want to experience the thrill of digging your own clams and steaming them at your campsite. General location: Just off U.S. Highway 1 near Whiting in Washington County.
