A hike to the top of a mountain that can only be reached by water. Mount Kineo has cliffs that are composed of a particular type of flint that Native Americans traveled great distances to obtain. Objects constructed of this flint have been found at locations far removed from Mount Kineo. General location: Diagonally across the water from Rockwood, a small village about halfway up Moosehead Lake's western shore in Somerset County.

A hike to the top of a mountain that can only be reached by water. Mount Kineo has cliffs that are composed of a particular type of flint that Native Americans traveled great distances to obtain.

Objects constructed of this flint have been found at locations far removed from Mount Kineo. General location: Diagonally across the water from Rockwood, a small village about halfway up Moosehead Lake's western shore in Somerset County.
