The entire Badlands feels remote, but the Tumulus Trail is a little more so. The trailhead is farther from the highway than others in the area, so you’ll have plenty of privacy. The Tumulus Trail is one of the longer official paths in the Badlands and extends far into the desert until it connects with the Dry River Trail.
