Pilot Butte is one of the most identifiable geographical landmarks within Bend’s city limits, and it’s certainly a great stop. The cinder cone on the northeast side of town has two different spiraling paths up the hill—one for cars, and one for hikers— providing convenient urban excursions for all ability levels.
