This 10-mile loop is one of those discoveries made by poring over maps; “Hmmm... this looks interesting.” Interesting it is; not world-class, perhaps, but definitely a fun little loop. Because of some steep hills and 700 feet of elevation gain, the ride is rated moderate in aerobic difficulty; likewise in technical difficulty, owing to several tough, rocky ascents and descents. This entire desert/mountain basin and those adjacent to it are webbed with roads and could provide days of exploring. General location: 22 miles northwest of St. George.
