Lots of variety in terrain, views and geographical features en route to a spectacular, clifftop viewpoint over the surging tidal whirlpools of Seymour Narrows. This was the site of one of the world’s largest non-nuclear peacetime explosions, set off in 1958 to remove the notorious Ripple Rock, which had been responsible for many shipwrecks and 114 deaths.
