A pleasant hike along the shoreline of a foothills reservoir leads to a short but pretty fall and pool. The waterfall on Park Creek, which feeds into sprawling Jenkinson Lake, is the primary draw of this route but just one of many pleasant diversions along the long trail that loops around the reservoir.
The north shore of the lake, where about half of the route is located, is dotted with campgrounds and boat launches and picnic areas—a little flashy and a load of fun. The south shore—the waterfall is on this side—is more rugged and remote, very pretty, and just as much fun.
