This hike explores the lesser visited, lesser developed, natural side of Dawes Arboretum. Located east of OH 13, this wild-area hike makes a loop, ?rst climbing to the site of an Indian mound and then traveling east through tall mature woods to the gorge of Quarry Run. You will then backtrack and resume the circuit, passing a few meadows before coming to serene Scout Pond. Relax beside this watery escape before returning to the main arboretum grounds.
