Pisgah National Forest is famous for miles of trails, many waterfalls, and Looking Glass Rock. This trail leads you directly to the base of the famed rock, giving you a fresh and new perspective of the natural wonder you’ve often viewed from afar. As you stand at the foot of the rock, you can literally lay your hands on the smooth stone while looking straight up what’s known as “the nose” of the rock. Enjoy this rare opportunity, which is typically only taken by local climbers and the protected peregrine falcons who nest on the eyrie.
