Among my favorites, the Lake Shore Trail offers stunning views and gives the dogs ample opportunities to splash around in the clear green water of Lake Norman. The trail closely follows the water’s edge most of the way around a peninsula that resembles the shape of a white oak leaf. Dipping in and out of small coves, you’ll enjoy a gentle breeze from the lake, while a variety of trees shade you from the sun.
