This rail- to- trail route is canopied by towering trees for a lush, shady ride. Even on a hot day, the path remains relatively cool. The linear route is easy to follow, features excellent pavement, and is not too crowded. Head out simply for a day of smooth riding, or pack your camping gear and camp at the halfway point (L. L. Stub Stewart State Park), or at Anderson Park at the end of the line. Rental bikes are available at the trailhead in Banks. This is a one-way ride, so you’ll need to park a vehicle at the end of the line unless you want to earn extra points by riding back to the beginning.
