Hike through the moss-hung forest to the pristine open headlands of Cascade Head. Then stop for a break or lunch at the Upper Viewpoint, and enjoy the eye-popping view from more than 1,200 feet above the crashing Pacific surf. After the break, stroll through a vigorous second-growth forest of Sitka spruce and red alder, to the trailhead on Road 1861, before returning to the Knight County Park Trailhead.
