The long ridge to the east of Paradise offers a grand adventure through the varied ecosystems of the alpine wonderland of this region. The route described here is a simple out-and-back walk but with a little planning, hikers can create their own itinerary, utilizing the multitude of trails in the area to link together loops of various lengths. But that’s too much work when all we want to do is tiptoe through the lupine.
