This route offers the most direct route from Paradise to the rock-and-ice world of the upper mountain’s lower reaches, with wonderful views of the Tatoosh Range and the expansive Paradise Valley spread out at your feet. Thrown in for good measure is Myrtle Falls, right alongside the trail.
