Though perhaps best known for its sprawling housing developments, Grand Ridge also claims one of the ?nest pieces of wildlands in the Issaquah area. That was by design—planners required this park to be set aside as part of the mitigation for development, and the Washington Trails Association worked with King County Parks and Recreation to develop a wonderful recreational trail that explores the 1200 acres of rich second-growth forest on the 1100-foot ridge in the Cascade foothills. Plan to share the trail with mountain bikers on nice weekends.
