Horseshoe Ridge offers a bit of what you’d find in the larger Dark Divide Roadless Area to the east. The Siouxon area lacks the attention and the grandeur of the Dark Divide, but has its own graceful charm, and Horseshoe Ridge represents the best this region has to offer. The ridge is a long forested finger, covered with open meadows and wildflower fields. Deer and elk range through the meadows and forests, while birds soar effortlessly overhead.
