A word of warning: Bring lots of water. This trail challenges hikers right from the start as it begins with a descent and ends with a climb. The route climbs steadily and steeply for the first two-thirds of its length before moderating into a gentle roll along the ridge. But for all the sweat you pump out, all the calories you burn, you’ll earn great rewards. Fabulous wildflower fields, stunning scenery, glorious views await you, as you cross one old fire lookout site.

The guide mentions a bridge to cross Siouxon Creek. There is no bridge and the creek was uncrossable in June.
