A pair of waterfalls is visible from this broad, compact-gravel trail. Climbing through a thick stand of Douglas-fir and noble fir, the route breaks into the open at a viewpoint overlooking Curly Creek Falls, a pretty cascade on the Lewis River. Enjoy the crashing water before moving up the trail to a second viewing platform. At this point the scenery consists of Miller Creek Falls, a smaller cascade that is as picturesque as Curly Creek Falls. The trail doesn’t provide river access, but it is a good place to watch the falls and the autumn anglers trying to catch spawning steelhead trout.
