Peak-baggers love the lookout-rich Cowlitz Valley. The number of high peaks that once housed fire watch stations in this deep, forested valley is astounding. This trail loops through some of those forests, past a brilliant, clear spring boasting nice campsites if you want to spend the night, and then on to the summit with its grand views of the upper Cowlitz Valley.
