Pinnacle Peak is an old favorite of southeast King County hikers that deserves wider attention. The geologically unusual mountain rises straight up from the surrounding farmland, thrust upward like a monument to the powerful volcanic forces that shape the Washington landscape.
Although views are limited, the quick climb to the top still makes a worthy outing. Despite having several alternate names, or perhaps because of it, Pinnacle Peak remains mostly obscure to many Puget Sound hikers.
