Pinnacle Peak is an old favorite of southeast King County hikers that deserves wider attention. The geologically unusual mountain rises straight up from the surrounding farmland, thrust upward like a monument to the powerful volcanic forces that shape the Washington landscape. Although views are limited, the quick climb to the top still makes a worthy outing. Despite having several alternate names, or perhaps because of it, Pinnacle Peak remains mostly obscure to many Puget Sound hikers.

This hike may only be 2 miles but it is somewhat hard on your legs and butt. Good short hike to get your workout in for the day or weekend. As an added bonus there is a Geocache at the top. ;)
