Just as no tourist can claim to have seen downtown Seattle without a visit to Pike Place Market, there is no such thing as a Seattle hiker who hasn’t been to the top of Mt. Si. Easy to reach, physically challenging, and capped by a commanding view, the mountain known simply as Si is like a city park crossed with a serious Cascade Mountain peak.

It is four miles of uphill. If you are in any kind of decent shape it is fine. My son did this with me and didn't break a sweat, but I was really pushing myself. Lots of tree on the way up, and a fantastic view at the top. Very glad I did it, and want to do it again.

Fairly steep all the way to the top. No views until you get to the top, but once there it's gorgeous. Lots of craggy rocks to hang out on, and you should hang out and look around all you want, to make up for the lack of views on the way up/down. Bring trail mix and feed the birds, they'll land in your hands.

There were a lot of people on the trail, but not the lines that were desribed in previous reviews. The view at the top is worth the pain in the legs!

Busy trail, pretty strenuous climb.. nearly all uphill with very few if any flat spots. Amazing view from the top!
