This trail is mostly a climbers’ route (read: rough) for those heading to the summit of Mount Shuksan via the Sulphide Glacier Route (see the Mountain Climbing section later in this chapter). Still, it gets up into some spectacular meadows with awesome views of Mount Baker, its Cascade brethren, and Baker Lake. (Oddly enough, it has only pretty good views of Mount Shuksan.) As a climbers’ route the trail doesn’t receive a whole lot of TLC and can be overgrown and, in places, hard to follow.
