Forest, bay views, historic museum, and schoolhouse. This 13-mile route from the Shaw Island ferry landing circumnavigates the small island, passing most of the island’s public attractions. You’ll be biking through forest much of the time, but you’ll also wind along bays and past some of the island’s small farms.

The loop is a 14 mile trip. The center of the island is the higest point, and the ride given is quite nice. There is a 15% hill on one section, but the unpaved part is easy, any road bike will cover it fine. The road is hard pack and quite smooth. I didn't think the South beach was worth the look, but the roads have almost no cars, riding 2 abreast is no problem, and this was the favorite ride of our group, and we rode all the islands.
