This is a trail that starts out with a gentle climb and ends with brutal climb for the last half mile or so. Beware that you must leave the main road at about the one mile point and that break off trail is hard to spot. It also requires that you open a cattle gate of barbed wire. The land is Washington parks land but feels like you are tresspassing on private property. You will shortly cross the creek from west to east and travel up towards the ranch house (museum) that can be seen in the distance to the left. The trails is not often traveled and when we went had areas that where thigh high.
