A backpack to remote Chain and Doelle Lakes. Chain Lakes are a string of small lakes set high in an enclosed basin high above Icicle Creek. The lakes are fairly remote; the shortest path to the lakes is over 9 miles long. These lovely lakes are among the most lonesome in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness. Although they are as beautiful as the Enchantment Lakes, precious few hikers visit, allowing a greater sense of solitude for those who do.
