A long hike up French Creek, with a side trip to Klonaqua Lakes. French Creek is one of the major tributaries of Icicle Creek. It is a long creek and a long, lonesome hike. There are no pretty lakes or mountaintop views on the majority of this hike, just quiet forest hiking for miles on end. A majority of visitors to French Creek come on horseback. As a consequence, some sections of the trail are muddy and rough, and the trail is not especially popular with hikers.
