Mountain views and pristine meadows dotted with alpine flowers await you as you hike into Indian Heaven Wilderness via Indian Heaven Trail. At a switchback, 1 mile into the hike, there is an excellent viewpoint at 4,800 feet elevation on the right side of the trail. Mount Adams is close by to the northeast, and to its left Goat Rocks are in the distance. To the north, craggy, ice-sheathed 14,410-foot-high Mount Rainier lifts its blunt dome far above the surrounding terrain.
