Climb gently to near the timberline of Mount Adams on the South Climb Trail and then contour the alpine southwest slope of the mountain to a junction with the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) at Horseshoe Meadow. The heavily silted creeks that this trail crosses could be difficult at high water. Remember that these glacial streams are usually higher in the afternoon and during periods of hot weather with a high freezing level. These streams are usually less silted in the morning.
