Hike through old-growth forest to a spectacular waterfall in the swift and crystal-clear Lewis River. To hike this loop in a clockwise direction, start from the northeast end of the gravel parking area. The Middle Falls Loop Trail 82 leads north-northeast from the parking area, staying close to FR 90 for a short distance. The tread crosses a wooden bridge 0.2 mile from the parking area. Copper Creek rushes between moss-covered banks beneath the bridge. A few yards below the bridge, the creek drops over a falls. There is a good view of the falls a short distance farther along.
