A short walk to a viewpoint of a spectacular set of waterfalls in the South Fork Tieton River. From the trailhead the broad trail descends gently along a steep slope, with the falls in view ahead through the trees. The rather open forest consists mostly of Douglas fir and tamarack with a few ponderosa pines mixed in. The viewpoint is a short distance north of the lower falls. Gray and brown cliffs rise high across the river from this beautiful spot.
