This is an excellent example of old growth forest. Definitely worth the short, leisurely hike if you have not seen old growth. The trail head is not even 30 minutes off US 101. The trail may be closed, be sure to call the Gold Beach Ranger District before trying to head out. Winter storms frequently damage the trail. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is due to it's shortness.
