You will climb 4,700 feet up the western face of steep and deeply furrowed mountains that tower over the 55-mile-long, water-filled glacial trough of Lake Chelan. Then you will drive on the crest of the narrow ridge that separates the lake and Methow Valley. Along the way are vistas that stretch from the eastern steppes to the North Cascades. On native-surface and gravel roads with narrow and steep sections and long drop-offs.

Amazing views can be found from multiple locations on this trip. Took us 6 hours to make the loop but we stopped and hiked a few times. If your into geocaching, you will find several along the way. Road is in acceptable condition, but you will want to be in something that isnt low to ground. Many hunters out and about, and very tight areas to try and let vehicles by. Recommend for people that like to sight see and love the outdoors.
